Well, since I have recently come into possession of a gorgeous Tokota I plan on using extensively,
I figured it was time to bite the bullet and make a handler for her, and any other ones in the future.
Hopefully I get all of this right. I honestly had a lot of fun with this drawing, and the end result came out perfectly to potray the kind of character I wanted to.
Just an excellent overall experience and outcome for me, personally. It has certainly given me hope for my future in human art!

Body Type Hillevi is extremely wiry and thin - while some feel she is unhealthy, it is just her figure naturally. She is very flexible, and while much stronger than she appears, is more versed in speed than brute strength, and loves running and climbing trees in her free time.
Noticeable Physical Features - Three scars across her forehead bear the evidence of a savage grizzly bear attack when she was seventeen. Before her Tokota could come to her rescue, the bear had set in and swiped at her. Had a fork of trees not been holding him back, Hillevi would not have survived.
Eye Color Evi's eyes are a shocking gold, and oftentimes unnerve those she is speaking with due to their intensity.
Personality - First and foremost, Hillevi tends to be a recluse. While she does not despise human contact, she has simply been out of the loop and on her own for so long that interacting with others just isn't a forte. Still, she enjoys going to town to just be around others without necessarily having to talk. Evi is extraordinarily sharp - both of mind and instincts. Living out in the wilderness does not spare room for those that cannot learn how to survive. As a result of this, she can be wary and initially mistrusting of strangers. Once she has warmed up to them, she is more than willing to offer any aid she can, and genuinely care for everyone around her. Even if people hurt her, or have in the past, she understands that it will only burn herself to hold onto the flames of bitterness, and leaves it be. Still, one cannot expect to be trusted again after scorning her.
A little more adventurous and wild than does one good, Hillevi's past times consist of hunting, exploring, and pushing herself to the limits of the best she can be. While mistakes are inevitable, and Evi doesn't berate herself for them, she always vows to take the lesson and learn from it in the future. When extremely driven in a fit of anger or high emotion, Evi is an extremely formidable opponent. Relieving tension and stress through hunting - whether with bow and arrow or on the back of one of her beloved Tokos - is always the go-to, and the thrill of the chase does wonders to satisfy Evi's need for danger and excitement.

As a Handler - Hillevi, whenever coming into the possession of a new toko, leaves them alone in a pen by themselves - but still able to see and interact with other Tokotas on the other side - to get a feel for their mannerisms and personality when not under the saddle or in training. Keeping a notebook of whatever she observes, she will spend a few more days simply interacting with them - brushing, playing, fitting tack - and allowing them to get used to her. Gaining trust is an essential aspect of any animal handling for her, and once she is sure that they are comfortable with her, she begins training and building the bond between both Tokota and rider. Training with a firm, yet understanding, hand, Hillevi always looks to herself when there is a problem instead of blaming her Tokota, since she knows that there is rarely a true-born malicious animal.

Oh man, she's gorg. I think my favourite thing is the view of the back of her head; what a cool way to tie the hair up. I might steal that if my hair ever ends up long enough for it.
